Founded in 1976, Youghiogheny Opalescent Glass Company has gained an outstanding reputation in the glass artist community for the quality and color of its sheet glass. Stained glass hobbyists and professionals around the world respect the name Youghiogheny as a mark of quality in glass.
This silver yellow, green and white opal glass from Youghiogheny has a smooth texture featuring an opaque color with a semi-translucent, mottled pattern consisting of irregular ring-shapes of varying opacities and size. It is also a Tiffany Reproduction Glass that is made with a specifically-formulated opal base glass, creating a true white cast, surface hazing, and the waxy quality that is generally associated with Tiffany glass.
