Founded in 1976, Youghiogheny Opalescent Glass Company has gained an outstanding reputation in the glass artist community for the quality and color of its sheet glass. Stained glass hobbyists and professionals around the world respect the name Youghiogheny as a mark of quality in glass.

This gold pink, purple and neodymium glass from Youghiogheny has a rippled texture featuring a mixture of opal and translucent colors, allowing some light to pass through while beautifully illuminating hues and adding vibrancy. This is contrasted with a semi-translucent, mottled pattern consisting of irregular ring-shapes of varying opacities and size. The rippled texture consists of irregular, small ripples with occasional creases, further diffusing light and providing privacy. The Neodymium causes the glass to appear to shift to a slightly bluish or pinkish tint depending on the light source. It is also a Tiffany Reproduction Glass that is made with a specifically-formulated opal base glass, creating a true white cast, surface hazing, and the waxy quality that is generally associated with Tiffany glass.
