A lightweight refractory material processed from high purity alumina-silica fibers. Withstands temperatures up to 2300 degrees Fahrenheit (1260 Celsius). No asbestos. Kiln venting is necessary. These refractory fiber papers when heated above 1800 degrees Fahrenheit (982 Celsius) transform to Crisobalite, a form of crystalline silica which may cause lung injury. An approved respiratory mask is recommended.
